This week in photography class I learned how to better use the natural light in a setting to brighten up a photo instead of increasing the ISO or decreasing the shutter speed and possibly getting a blurry photo. The two photos on the left both use natural light keeping them from looking grainy. I also learned about how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO better work with each other to be able to adjust the settings on a camera a lot faster to get the desired look. This has made taking pictures a lot more efficient and helped with the photos of forced perspective.

This week in photography we used forced perspective to make different and interesting shots. Using forced perspective, I learned that you can basically get a photo that looks completely different from what was actually happening. With these forced perspective photos, I also learned better ways to use photoshop. We used photoshop to create a stamp for watermarks on photos. From this, I now know add to add text as well as use the stamp tool.

This week in photography class I learned how to make a double exposure photo. This is when you take a photo and put a background basically in the subject combining two photos together. This is probably one of the favorite things I've learned this year because I really enjoy photoshop and never completely knew how to use it but this shows that it's not as difficult as it seems. For my photo, I took a side profile of my head and used a photo that I took from the top of a mountain and used that to replace my head. I really like the effect this does and since I now know how to use it, I can see myself trying it with other things in the future.
